Admitted to practice in the State of California, the federal district courts, and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.  Terry LaPorte is board certified by the National Board of Legal Specialty Certification and is a board of examiners member of the National Board of Trial Advocacy. Sustaining member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants Representatives (NOSSCR), provider attorney of the American Association of Retired Persons (A.A.R.P.), seven time annual chair of the Social Security Section, Santa Clara County Bar Association. Lecturer for the Continuing Education Program of the California Bar Association.  Terry LaPorte is one of the top attorneys in Northern California as published in San Francisco Magazine Super Lawyer section in 2007, 2008 and 2009.

Kevan Spence, Esq. Kevan Spence is a graduate of Santa Clara University School of Law in 1980. Admitted to practice in the State of California, the federal district courts, and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals since 1981. Member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants Representatives (NOSSCR) Ms. Spence was a medical malpractice attorney for 8 years and has broad knowledge of medical and disability issues. Her geographic area of the practice for our firm includes Stockton, Sacramento, Central Valley and Sierra Foothills.  

Kevan has devoted herself exclusively to the practice of Social Security disability appeals and hearings in the Central Valley, Sierra Foothills and Tahoe/Reno areas for the Law Offices of Terry LaPorte for over four years and has represented numerous clients successfully from application through administrative law hearings. Consistent with our firm's philosophy, we believe that each client is unique. We offer thorough preparation and individual attention to each claim in order to enhance our clients' chances of a successful outcome.

An attorney with a law degree from San Francisco Law School whose practice is limited to representation of Social Security Disability Appeals. She is admitted to practice law in the state of California, the federal district courts, and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. Pamela has successfully represented numerous social security claimants and their families on every appeal level including the federal courts. She has helped people in need in various capacities for over 25 years and exclusively in the area of Social Security claims for the last five years. Pamela has received an award from the Foundation of the State Bar for service to the community and was named Volunteer of the Year by the San Francisco Bar Association’s Volunteer Legal Service Program. The Multiple Sclerosis Society has also recognized her for legal contributions. She is a member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimant’s Representatives, the Bay Area Social Security Claimant’s Representatives, and the San Francisco Social Security Claimant’s Representatives. She has offices in Oakland, San Francisco, San Bruno, and San Mateo. Pamela is compassionate, caring and feels fortunate to practice law in an area that allows her to continue her life work of helping others.

Maria Miranda-Hammon is an experienced Social Security legal representative who is extremely committed and dedicated to the successful outcome of each and every case. Maria has specialized in the representation of claimants with SSI and SSA disability claims and appeals at Social Security hearing offices and district offices since 1993. Maria continues to expand her knowledge and experience through research and seminars offered by the Santa Clara County Bar Association, the National Organization of Social Security Claimant’s Representatives (NOSSCR) and the Annual 9th Circuit Conference for experienced Social Security practitioners.

    Maria also has extensive litigation support experience and knowledge of computer graphic software that has also been extensively utilized within the firm in preparing documentation presentations and conference materials. Maria is also experienced in the use of electronic filing software.   

 With a fully integrated bicultural background, Maria has been able to represent many monolingual Spanish speaker claimants in our San Jose, Oakland, San Francisco, Salinas and Monterey areas.
